The possibilities of what you can do with shredded chicken are limitless. I&#8217;ve used it with <a title=\"Recipe: Enchiladas with Chicken &amp; Baked Beans\" href=\"http:\/\/www.prasadgupte.com\/blog\/enchiladas-with-chicken-baked-beans\/\">enchiladas<\/a>, <a title=\"Southwest salad with chicken, mushroom &amp; tortilla chips\" href=\"http:\/\/www.prasadgupte.com\/blog\/southwest-salad-recipe\/\">salads<\/a>, <a title=\"Recipe: Cheese Nachos with Baked Beans\" href=\"http:\/\/www.prasadgupte.com\/blog\/recipe-cheese-nachos-with-baked-beans\/\">nachos<\/a>, <a title=\"Open-toast pizza recipe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.prasadgupte.com\/blog\/open-toast-pizza-recipe\/\">pizzas<\/a> and what not. Here is another easy one.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 218px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/prasadgupte.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/09\/wpid-wp-1411922127568.jpeg\" alt=\"Oven-baked bruschetta\" width=\"218\" height=\"218\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Oven-baked bruschetta<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Garlic bread (6 in)<\/li>\n<li>Tomato (finely-chopped)<\/li>\n<li>Shredded chicken<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mccormick.com\/Spices-and-Flavors\/Recipe-Mixes\/Gravies-and-Sauces\/Brown-Gravy-Mix\" target=\"_blank\">McCormick Brown Gravy mix (optional)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Black pepper (ground)<\/li>\n<li>Oregano<\/li>\n<li>Tabasco sauce<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amul.com\/products\/amul-cheesespread-info.php\" target=\"_blank\">Amul Cheese spread (pepper)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Mozzarella Cheese<\/li>\n<li>Butter<\/li>\n<li>Tartar sauce (for the dip)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Procedure:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dice chicken into cubes and bring to boil. [Add pepper to the broth and drink hot :)] Cool the chicken and shred it.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you have the McCormick gravy mix, prepare the gravy as per instructions. Alternatively, you can shred pieces from a previously cooked chicken gravy.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mix the shredded chicken, gravy, cheese spread, oregano, black pepper, tabasco sauce and mix well.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cut\u00a0the garlic bread loaf diagonally to create 1\/2 inch slices. Apply butter on both sides.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pre-heat the oven at 180c. Then toast the bread for about 5 minutes at 180c.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spread the chicken mixture on toasted bread, garnish with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heat the bruschetta in the microwave for a minute and\u00a0serve with tartar sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At some point in time, I am going\u00a0to write a book about cooking: &#8220;A Husband&#8217;s guide to quick recipes &#8211; a.k.a. all you need is shredded chicken&#8221;.
